Dialectical Behavior Therapy Experience
Over ten years practicing DBT in Seattle, inside one of the most established DBT communities in the country, trained directly through the institute founded by Marsha Linehan.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy Trainer
I've since become a trainer within that same institute, teaching other clinicians how to deliver Dialectical Behavior Therapy treatment.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Training
Completed the Behavior Therapy Training Institute, an intensive program in evidence-based treatment for OCD and related disorders, sponsored by the International OCD Foundation.
Neurofeedback & qEEG Mapping Training
I'm trained in neurofeedback and qEEG brain mapping that measures brainwave activity directly and builds a personalized training protocol grounded in neurological data.
Coming Home to Georgia
I loved my time in Seattle, it's where I built my clinical foundation in DBT, trained within its close-knit DBT community, and met my husband. It gave me the depth I still practice from today.

But I'm a Georgia native, born and raised, with a degree from the University of Georgia. So when I moved my practice to Atlanta, it felt more like a homecoming, one that put me back close to family and back in the state that helped shape me.

Moving home also meant relocating with three young kids while growing a practice in a new location. What it doesn't show is what came with it: years of infertility, multiple premature births, and a body that fought to carry each pregnancy to term.

During that stretch, we lost two babies, one born sleeping, one born alive but too early to survive. I know what that kind of grief feels like, and what it takes to come out the other side of it. That's part of what led me to neurofeedback. I sought out support of my own, found a therapist who offered it, and noticed the difference almost right away: more patience with my kids, more resilience during a genuinely hard stretch, better sleep than I'd had in years. It's why I offer it to clients now, not as something I studied from a distance, but something I've actually lived through.

Ashley Connors, MSW, LCSW
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of clinical experience. I offer treatment for anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and disorders of emotion dysregulation, working with adults, teens and children through DBT, CBT, and neurofeedback. I'm especially drawn to cases that take time to work through, OCD, chronic dysregulation, and trauma that hasn't responded to past treatment.
I believe in measuring outcomes and keeping a caseload small enough to track them. That's the level of care I want every client to have, and the goal is always the same: helping you build the skills you need to get back to your life.
