What Brings Families Here

Struggling can look different in every child or teen. It might be emotional, a learning difficulty getting in the way, or something more serious like self-harm. If you don't know how to help, or where to start, that's usually a sign outside help is needed.

Reaching out isn't easy, whether what you're noticing feels small or genuinely frightening. You don't need to know which one it is before you contact us.

Neurofeedback is available for children as young as 5. DBT and CBT are available for teens 13 and up. Together, we can figure out what's going on and whether evaluation or treatment makes sense.

We Treat in Children and Teens

Self-Harm & Suicidal Thoughts

DBT is the evidence-based treatment for self-harm and suicidal thoughts in teens. Signs can include withdrawal, mood changes, or talk about not wanting to be here anymore.

Emerging Borderline Personality Disorder

This can look like unstable emotions, relationships, or a shaky sense of self, beyond typical moodiness. A diagnosis isn't given until adulthood, but DBT can treat these patterns sooner.

ADHD & Attention Challenges

A child who can't settle into schoolwork, or a teenager whose mind won't quiet down. Neurofeedback with qEEG brain mapping works with this directly, starting at age 5.

Obsessive-compulsive Disorder

Intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors your teen may be too ashamed to bring up. Treatment may include CBT, DBT, neurofeedback, or a combination, depending on their history.

Anxiety & Depression

Worry, avoidance, or a low mood interfering with school, friendships, or daily life. The assessment identifies what's driving it, so the right approach follows from there.

Trauma & Nervous System Overwhelm

When a child or teen's nervous system stays on high alert long after something stressful or traumatic. Treatment may include CBT, neurofeedback, or both.

What Treatment Looks Like

These skills get built with real material, not hypotheticals. In session, we work with whatever happened in your week: the urge you almost acted on, the argument that spiraled, the moment you needed to change course but didn't know how. We take that material and apply the skill that fits. Session by session, those skills start to hold on their own.

For The Teen Reading This

You might be the one who's struggling, even if no one else has picked up on it yet. A thought you can't shake, a feeling you can't explain, something you've been doing to cope that scares you. It doesn't mean something is wrong with you. It means no one's had the full picture yet, including you.

Talking to a parent can be one of the hardest parts of getting help, but once we're working together, what you say in therapy is confidential. The one exception is if your safety is ever at risk, that gets handled directly, not kept quiet.

Taking this first step is hard, but it might also be the thing that moves you forward.

The Science of Neuroplasticity: How We Train the Brain

Objective Data, Not Observation

Your Brain Can Change-01.png

Psychological diagnosis often relies entirely on subjective observation. We take a different approach. Utilizing advanced qEEG brain mapping, we measure your exact brainwave activity to identify the biological root of your symptoms. By comparing your results against expansive normative database, we remove the guesswork and develop a highly precise, individualized treatment protocol.

Harnessing Neuroplasticity

AshleyConnors-Logo-Brand-Package-08.png

The human brain is incredibly adaptable. Think of neural pathways like paths through a forest: the more a route is walked, the more entrenched it becomes. Over time, anxiety or attention deficits become deeply ingrained habits of the nervous system. Neurofeedback leverages neuroplasticity to introduce new, healthier routes. We provide your brain with the exact information it needs to reinforce and strengthen entirely new pathways.

Sustainable, Non-Pharmacological Change

In a culture that constantly demands immediate gratification and temporary symptom management, neurofeedback offers a different reality. It is a non-pharmacological approach that requires dedication. Because we are fundamentally retraining how your brain operates, it is not a quick fix. Results build gradually through consistent training, providing your nervous system with the foundation required for sustainable, long-term regulation.
